November 22nd
The Hallway outside of the apartment shared by Chadwick L. Swiss & Ronald Arnold Gerrimoto Beeslyhuxtoy. Otherwise known as Chad & Ronnie.

Jane Tarzania is coming up to their door, she is just getting off work. She's there because her Ex, Ronnie, asked her to accompany him to a wedding. Coming down the hallway from the opposite direction was a woman Jane had been seeing a lot of lately, the woman in question is Catherine Gillsepie, Chad's girlfriend. She was dressed up in a gothic inspired black & red corset dress. On her hands were black lace gloves. In one of her hands was a black & red lacy umbrella. Catherine's pitch black hair was put up in a sensible ponytail & her ruby red lipstick really shown against her somewhat pale complexion.

They both stopped at the door, looking each over puzzled.

"Hello." Jane said.

"Hi." Catherine replied.

"Are you here to go to the wedding with Chad?" Jane asked.

"Yes. Are you here for Ronnie?"

"Yes, sadly."

There was a short moment of silence & then Catherine asked "Then why aren't you in costume?"

More silence.

"What?" Jane said confused.

"Yeah." Catherine said & took a piece of paper out of her purse. She handed it to Jane. "We are going to the Wedding event of the moment, the coming together of Dreamcatcher Kokopelli Foxglove, known more famously as CrazySugarFreakBoy! & his Comic Book writing fiancée April."

Jane looked over the neon green piece of paper with it's bright yellow text. It was almost hard to look at it directly. "I see." Ronnie had failed to tell her where they were going once again.

"Yeah & it's a Costume Wedding." Catherine said with some glee.

"So, it's a Gothic 19th Century themed wedding?" Jane asked referencing what Catherine was wearing.

"No, this is just what I'm wearing. They're getting married on Halloween so of course they want the guests to come in costume."

"But, Halloween was 3 weeks ago?"

"Yes, I know that. But, these are super heroes you think a simple thing like time is going to get in the way of true love?"

"I guess not."

Jane knocked on the door & a few second later it whipped open. There standing in the doorway was Ronnie but not in the way Jane or Catherine normally saw. He was all dressed up in a full suit & top hat. None of the clothes were either bright yellow or bright red but he did have a dark red coat on & his outfit had dark accents to it.

"Good morning starshine, the earth says hello!" Ronnie said with a giggle. He then took of his top hat & bowed.

"Nice Willy Wonka. Johnny would be proud." Catherine said as step into the apartment.

"Thanks." Ronnie said flatly.

Ronnie placed his hat back on his head & then took a good look a Jane. "Hmmmm...." He said thinking. "Let me guess.... Generic Office Worker?"

Jane didn't respond but had a some what angry look on her face.

"Angry Co-Worker?" Ronnie guessed again.

Jane didn't respond.

"Am I close?"

"Sort of. I just got off work & you didn't tell we were going to a costume wedding."

"I didn't?" Ronnie said.

"No."

"It must of slipped my mind."

"Where's Chad?" Catherine asked changing the topic.

"He's getting ready. He'll be out in a moment."

"He's not dressed up as an Oompa Loompa is he?" Jane asked.

"No. Little Cat is!" Ronnie said & he look his hamster out of his pocket. Little Cat dressed up is a little outfit was munching on a green jelly bean.

Out from the hall closet, Chad came. He was dressed up in a light Blue jumpsuit with a black leather accents. Over that was a beige trenchcoat & on his back was his Accordion. On his head were brown fingerless gloves.

"Chad, your the Librarian!" Catherine said after a moment or two of looking Chad over. He smiled & shook his head yes.

"But, Bookman doesn't carry an Accordion?" Jane asked.

"Yes. But Chad does." Ronnie said.

Jane doesn't reply.

"Well, we seem to be all ready!" Ronnie said.

"No. We aren't. I don't want to go to a Wedding & not be the only person dressed up!" Jane demanded.

Ronnie was about to say something but was interrupted by Catherine. "If you guys will wait a few minutes, I'll take Jane down to my apartment & get her something to wear. Ok?"

"Sure." Ronnie said & Chad shook his head yes.

After the two of them had left the apartment, Jane asked "You live in the building?"

"Yeah. Small world?"

"Did you live here before you met Chad?"

"Yeah. I was here for a year of two before I meet him. I guess we just keep missing each other." Catherine said.

A few minutes later, Catherine said "Well, here we are!"

"You just live just down the hall from them & you never met?"

"Yes & I know, you'd think I would have?" Catherine said as she unlocked her door.

They walked in & Catherine went to coat closet & opened the door, inside were costumes. Jane gave her an odd look.

"What? I have a coat rack for coats, so my coat closet is used to store my costumes."

Jane was still giving her that look.

"I go to a lot of renaissance fairs & conventions." Catherine said & motioned to wall next to her. On it was a shelf with a few awards & on the wall were framed photos of her dressed up.

"oh."

"Yeah." Catherine said & then started to go through her closet. "Who do you want to be today? Alice, Snow White or Willow?"

"Willow?"

"Yeah, you know from Buffy!"

"Buffy?"

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Movie that became a Tv Show? Sarah Michelle Gellar? Willow was played by Alison Hannigan, Buffy's best gal pal? Powerful Wiccan/Lesbian? Founding member of the Scoobies?" Catherine asked, she wasn't getting a positive response.

"Scoobies? Isn't that a cartoon?"

"Yeah, sort of." Catherine said brushing Jane's comment off & went back to searching.

She stopped a few seconds later, turned around & asked "You mean you never watched Buffy on either of network the show was on?"

"Sorry. I've never really been into that kind of stuff." Jane said with a smile.

"You make sound like it some kind of cult or something. Given that they did label the show as being a cult show but that's beside the point." Catherine said getting worked up about it. She stopped, did some breathing exercises. "All right. I'm fine now."

Catherine went back to looking through her closet. Jane started to look around the apartment, from what she sees, Catherine is an odd mix, a Goth Punk Geek Nerd.

"Ah! I found the prefect costume for you, Jane!" Catherine said as held it up.

Jane turned around to see it & all the blood left her face. "No. No, I can't wear that."

"Sure you can." Catherine said with a smile. Jane surely thought it was an evil smile.

A few minutes later, Catherine walks back into Chad & Ronnie's apartment.

"Well, where is she?" Ronnie asked after looking at his pocket watch. They have to get going or they'll be late for Halloween.

"She right behind me."

Begrudgingly Jane walked into the apartment.

"Angry Dorothy!" Ronnie said.

No. Just Dorothy." Jane said angrily as she attempted to pull the Gingham dress down a bit farther, she felt like it was riding up.

"Ok." Ronnie said looking over to Chad "You got the gifts?"

Chad nodded yes.

"Ok & we're off."

The Foursome with accompanying Pet all leave the apartment & are off to the party!
